Today's urban sketching session with the USK Kolkata group was at the iconic Bourne & Shepherd Building in Esplanade. I once again used acrylics like watercolors for an ink-and-wash approach, enjoying the freedom of loose lines and transparent washes.

Because I have a few more times left, I decided to sketch a few more.

Painting on location meant simplifying the scene into bold shapes and expressive brushstrokes, capturing the energy rather than every detail. A joyful morning of sketching, observing, and sharing art with fellow sketchers.
